Deletion of existing code is a meticulous process, you are removing things that work but are not necessary for a given task.
A few steps worth consideration:
- First and foremost, make sure there is a Recovery Method! This can be a backup or the use of undelete.
- Remove items in small chunks, never remove a large amount of data since you may not immediately see the overall effect it has.
- Test each removal to verify that you didn't accidentally remove more than what was intended. It's time consuming, but recreating deleted data is a more frustrating task.
- Do not remove the End Class statement, it my happen by mistake but be mindful of this important closing line.
